After UAE, Kuwait intends to ban import of vegetables and fruits from Kerala

KUWAIT CITY, May 31: After the United Arab Emirates (UAE) banned the entry of fresh produce from the State of Kerala in India, the concerned authorities in Kuwait intends to prepare recommendations on banning the import of vegetables and fruits from the aforementioned Indian State considering the death of 13 persons, including a nurse, due to the Nipah virus outbreak.

Knowledgeable sources from the Ministry of Commerce said the ministry will soon issue an official statement regarding the ban.
