Afghani caught stealing motor oil cartons; Kuwaiti threatens his family

KUWAIT CITY, March 7:  An Afghani youth was apprehended by security operatives in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh for stealing 20 cartons of motor oil from the trunk of a Syrian’s car, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the Syrian man lodged a complaint with officers at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police accusing an unidentified person of breaking into the trunk of the car, which was parked in front of his house, and making away with 20 cartons of car oil. Investigations led to arrest of the Afghani youth. He admitted the crime and confessed selling the oil to an auto repairs and tire shop in the area.

Family threatened:A Kuwaiti employee of Criminal Security Department was arrested for locking up his family members inside his house and threatening to harm them. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the incident, Ahmadi securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location. Securitymen negotiated with him and eventually managed to control him. After discovering that his mental state is not normal, he was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. A case was registered.
