AFC postpones 2027 Asian Cup draw in Saudi Arabia, new date to be announced

RIYADH, March 26: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced the postponement of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup draw, originally scheduled for April 11 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

According to the AFC, the decision was made after careful consideration to ensure full participation from all stakeholders and to guarantee the ceremony is conducted in an optimal and well-organized manner.

The confederation expressed its appreciation to the local organizing committee in Saudi Arabia, confirming its readiness to host the draw once a new date is set. The AFC also thanked national member associations, fans, and partners for their understanding and cooperation.

A new date and details for the draw will be announced later, after alternative arrangements are finalized in coordination with the relevant authorities.
