‘Appointed person does not deserve post’

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: The administrative staff of Sabah Al-Salem Industrial Institute submitted a complaint to the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) director general on the appointment of a typewriting diploma holder as head of Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, claiming the latter does not deserve the post, reports Al-Rai daily.

The staff said the department head treats them very badly and she practices dictatorship in the institute. They pointed out this is a violation of the regulations and system of nomination for administrative posts.

They stressed that the appointment of the employee as head of the department was done based on the recommendation of the former director of the institute since she worked as a secretary in his office. They added the nomination was conducted without any other candidates who are more deserving than the incumbent in terms of academic qualification, job grades and efficiency.
