Kuwait’s youth handball team huddles for pep talk.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22: Nasser Addas, Board Member of the Handball Federation and head of the team delegation in Tunisia, praised the Kuwaiti Embassy in Tunis for facilitating all arrangements for the team’s training camp. The camp, which includes friendly matches, is part of preparations for the Islamic Solidarity Games, scheduled in Saudi Arabia from November 7 to 21.

Addas leads a delegation that includes Federation Treasurer Khalid Talib, team manager Abdulaziz Al-Zaabi, Icelandic head coach Aron Kristanson, and his assistant Heini Giverson, along with 21 players.

He highlighted the close supervision of Kuwait’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Mansour Al-Omr, and Consular Affairs Officer Mohammed Khalid Al-Huwaila, who ensured smooth procedures and provided full support to the delegation throughout their stay until departure on November 7.

Regarding the training, Addas noted that players have been engaged in intensive sessions twice daily, demonstrating full commitment to the instructions of both the technical and administrative staff. The camp and friendly matches aim to prepare the team to compete strongly in the Islamic Solidarity Games, where Kuwait hopes to vie for the championship title.

Meanwhile, Kuwait’s youth handball team recorded a 42-15 victory over Thailand in its second Group B match of the third Asian Games, being held in Bahrain until October 31. The youth team will face the UAE today at 6:00 PM.
