KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: An adhoc committee has been formed to study and meet the requirements for the new T2 airport terminal project which is expected to be completed by 2022 in coordination with Ministry of Public Works and the Turkish company Limak, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a reliable sources from Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA).

They explained that DGCA will sign a contract with a global agency or consultant for taking up T2 terminal project three years before launching operations in order to meet the requirements and follow the relevant laws as well as abide by the international standards.

DGCA is currently studying the offers of a number of global consultants that had applied for the project in coordination with the Central Tenders Committee (CTC).

Meanwhile, the sources revealed that the DGCA is waiting for the decision of the Cabinet concerning the renewal or non-renewal of the contracts of a number of leaders of the directorate in the month of March due to expiry of their service period. They affirmed that DGCA will address the Cabinet in this regard.
