Actress Al-Fahad readmitted to ICU after sudden setback

KUWAIT CITY, April 20: Kuwaiti actress Hayat Al-Fahad has suffered a severe health setback and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit on Monday. In an official statement, the Kuwait Union for Artistic and Theatrical Production and Entertainment Professionals revealed that the renowned actress Hayat Al-Fahad suffered a sudden health setback on Sunday morning, necessitating her transfer back to intensive care after having been receiving treatment in an isolation room. Chairman of the union Khaled Al-Rashed revealed that her health condition is currently unstable and requires close monitoring and intensive medical care, under continuous supervision from the medical team overseeing her case.

Al-Rashed indicated that he maintains continuous dialogue with the medical team and conducts regular hospital visits, although entry into her room remains restricted. He is currently monitoring her progress from a distance and has called on the public and artistic community to pray for her recovery and immediate return to her fans. He added that undergoing medical treatment abroad is not under consideration at the moment, as the decision lies with the attending physicians. He emphasized that her health is in the hands of Almighty Allah. He disclosed that prominent figures in the artistic community, including Suad Abdullah, Haifa Adel and Zahra Al-Kharji are in contact with her daughter, Suzan, to monitor the latest developments regarding her condition.

Meanwhile, veteran actress Mariam Al-Saleh expressed deep sorrow at Al-Fahad's illness. She said “our last encounter was at a commemorative ceremony in the Kingdom of Bahrain. I now maintain constant follow-up through her daughter, particularly since I am personally dealing with certain health challenges. I sincerely wish for her speedy recovery and return to her audience.” Veteran actor Jassim Al-Nabhan also urged the community to pray for the restoration of the health of ‘Umm Suzan.’ He stated “we are monitoring her clinical status through Khaled Al-Rashed, as she is an artist of significant standing who achieved remarkable milestones, with distinguished career in various art forms.” He added that all her professional colleagues deeply miss her during this difficult period.
