KUWAIT CITY, Sept 16: Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Major General Ali Al-Adwani on Tuesday conducted a field inspection tour to assess traffic conditions across the country ahead of the start of the 2025–2026 academic year, following directives from First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.

In a statement, the Ministry said that Al-Adwani reviewed traffic flow around schools, as well as on main roads and expressways, in a proactive step to ensure smooth and safe transportation for students and the general public at the beginning of the school year.

Major General Al-Adwani emphasized the importance of the strict implementation of traffic and security measures to ease congestion, ensure the safe arrival of students to their schools, and firmly address any traffic violations that may hinder safety or flow.

He also underscored the need to intensify field deployments of traffic commanders to directly oversee road operations and respond promptly to any emergency incidents. He further called for a strengthened security presence on highways, major intersections, and internal roads near residential neighborhoods with high concentrations of schools to help prevent traffic bottlenecks and eliminate random parking in front of school buildings.

Al-Adwani urged parents and students to cooperate with traffic authorities and adhere to road regulations and safety guidelines, noting that such cooperation is essential to support the Ministry’s efforts to ensure smooth traffic movement and public safety.

Expressing confidence in the capabilities of the Ministry’s personnel, Major General Al-Adwani stated that the success of traffic operations and achieving the intended objectives depends on teamwork and coordination across all sectors.
