KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: The Ministry of Interior has reported a truck collision incident near the under-construction IKEA bridge, located across from the Avenues Mall on Sheikh Zayed Road (Fifth Ring Road), heading towards the Salmiya area.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the road has been temporarily redirected to Mohammed bin Al Qasim Street. They urge motorists to consider alternative routes while the accident is being managed. Additionally, the Ministry emphasizes the importance of maintaining a safe following distance between vehicles and cooperating with security personnel when driving through this area.

Meanwhile, the management of the Kuwait Fire Service Directorate clarified that the Central Operations Department promptly dispatched a fire brigade from the Ardiya Center to respond to the incident report. Upon the brigade's arrival at the scene, it was determined that a collision involving a truck and a bridge under construction had occurred. Unfortunately, the collision caused one of the bridge's iron columns to fall onto a vehicle.

Swift action was taken to address the situation, ensuring the safety of the area, and it was subsequently handed over to the appropriate authorities for further handling.
