ABU DHABI, Mar 13: Abu Dhabi Police have arrested 45 individuals of various nationalities for filming locations linked to ongoing incidents and publishing the footage on social media, as well as circulating misleading and inaccurate information.

The arrests were carried out by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, which said the actions were likely to provoke public concern and spread rumors within the community.

Authorities confirmed that legal and administrative measures have been taken against those involved as part of ongoing efforts to monitor violations related to the misuse of social media platforms.

Police emphasized that filming and sharing footage of incident locations, as well as spreading unverified information, violates applicable laws and regulations and may negatively affect community security and security operations.

The force urged the public to rely only on official sources for information and refrain from filming or publishing footage from incident sites to protect public safety and the integrity of security procedures.
