Abu Dhabi Police Arrest 109 for Spreading Misinformation During Ongoing Events

ABU DHABI, Mar 20: Abu Dhabi Police announced the arrest of 109 individuals of various nationalities for filming sensitive locations and incidents and circulating inaccurate information عبر social media platforms amid ongoing developments.

Authorities stated that such actions have the potential to mislead public opinion and fuel rumors within the community. Legal and administrative measures have been taken against those involved as part of intensified efforts to monitor and track violations.

The police stressed that publishing or resharing unverified content—especially material not issued by official sources—constitutes a violation of applicable laws and regulations. They warned that such behavior could negatively impact community security and interfere with ongoing security operations.

Reaffirming their stance, Abu Dhabi Police urged the public to rely solely on approved official sources for information and to refrain from filming or sharing footage of incident locations, emphasizing the need to safeguard public interest and ensure the integrity of security procedures.
