Below 50yrs appointment compulsory
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 2: The Ministry of Health announced that the third booster dose for Covid-19 vaccine will be provided to everyone above the age of 50 at the vaccination centers in Mishref, Jaber Bridge and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Youth Center without prior appointment.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, said that starting tomorrow all those below 50 will have to book an appointment in advance in order to obtain booster doses at all vaccination centers. The booster dose is available at all public hospitals for ministry employees and for patients with chronic disease. Last week 115,024 were provided with booster dose, so far more than 461,693 people have been jabbed with the booster dose.
Those who have been tested positive and are under home quarantine should go to their nearest health center in their residential area as per the SMS message information. The medical condition will be evaluated and examination will be conducted with necessary treatments prescribed by the hospital and will be transferred if necessary. Those who are positive the preventive team will implement contact tracing protocol.
The centers are open from 8 am - 8 pm. There are five centers, with one center for each governorate, including Jaber Al-Ahmad City Center, Al-Raqi Health Center, Al-Jabriya Health Center, Al-Naseem Health Center and Abu Fatira Health Center.
