KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22: The distinguished artiste Abbas Al-Badri, whose artistic career spanned nearly half a century, and was famous for presenting many successful songs and garnering a large fan base in the Gulf states and the Arab world, passed away at the age of 78, reports Al-Rai daily. His singing debut witnessed cooperation with major artistic names, including composer Ibrahim Al-Soula in presenting a song characterized by the Samaritan color.
This cooperation continued in many songs, as his credits contain more than 200 songs. One of his most famous works is the song “Khaleejiya”, which achieved great success and his followers still remember it to this day, and most artists sing it during public concerts, in addition to the song “Ghali Le Ybad”, which is considered one of the most prominent Kuwaiti songs that live in the memory of the music lovers.
