MANAMA, Mar 6: Bahrain's Ministry of Interior stated that Iranian attacks targeted a hotel and two residential buildings in Manama, though no casualties were reported. Civil defence teams responded to the incident and successfully extinguished a fire that broke out in an apartment in one of the affected buildings.

Meanwhile, the Bahrain Defence Force has announced that the Kingdom’s air defence systems have intercepted and destroyed dozens of missiles and drones launched toward the country amid ongoing attacks. In a statement, the General Command said Bahrain’s air defences have shot down 78 missiles and 129 drones targeting the Kingdom since the start of the attacks, crediting the continued vigilance and high readiness of its personnel.

The command expressed pride in the combat readiness and professionalism of its forces, stating that their performance has ensured that the skies of Bahrain remain protected despite successive waves of aerial threats.

Authorities also urged citizens and residents to remain indoors unless absolutely necessary and to exercise caution for their safety. The public was advised to stay away from affected sites or suspicious objects, avoid filming military operations or debris locations, and refrain from spreading unverified information. Officials called on the public to rely only on updates from official government channels.

The General Command further condemned the use of ballistic missiles and drones targeting civilian infrastructure and private property, describing such attacks as a violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, and warning that they pose a serious threat to regional peace and security.
