SEOUL, South Korea, Nov 29, (Agencies): Expressing profound grief over the loss of his close friend and former bandmate Moonbin, a member of the K-pop idol group ASTRO, Rocky, who embarked on his solo career with “Rockyst,” revealed the devastating impact of Moonbin’s passing last April 19.

Rocky, who had departed from ASTRO in February following the expiration of his contract, shared the deep connection he and Moonbin had developed over their 12-year friendship, dating back to their training days at the age of 12. He recounted the shock and sorrow he experienced after Moonbin’s tragic demise, emphasizing that the loss felt like a significant part of his world crumbling.

The Seoul Gangnam Police Station reported that Moonbin, aged 25, was discovered lifeless at his home in Gangnam, Seoul, around 8:10 pm on April 19 by his manager. No evidence of foul play was detected. Rocky admitted struggling to come to terms with the loss, stating that he is still in the process of coping with the immense grief.

ASTRO, originally a six-member group that debuted in 2016, continued with five members after Rocky’s departure. Reflecting on their shared dreams and the countless memories they created together, Rocky acknowledged the profound impact Moonbin had on his life.

Recalling the initial period of devastation, Rocky expressed gratitude for the support he received from those around him, recognizing their efforts to uplift him during such a challenging time. He described a poignant dream where Moonbin visited him a week after his passing, providing comforting words that offered solace and reassurance.

As Rocky continues to navigate the difficult journey of healing, he remains appreciative of the positive influence Moonbin had on his life and the support system that helped him find strength amid the tragedy.
