A 25-year-old message on the topic of climate change was discovered by a French fisherman on a United States beach. The message was found inside a bottle that had drifted from Sandwich, Massachusetts, in 1997. The letter inside was authored by Benjamin Lyons, who was a fifth-grader at the time.

While scouring the beach for garbage and collecting various items, the fisherman came across the bottle and was intrigued to find a note on the outside instructing, “Please open.” Upon doing so, he discovered a letter containing a segment of a scientific project addressing ocean currents, erosion, and climate change. Further investigation revealed that Lyons, now residing in Washington, was the student behind the project. However, the exact journey of the bottle to its current location remains unknown.
