KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: In a tragic scene that served as a stark reminder of the danger of speeding on highways, Maghreb Road witnessed a horrific collision involving three vehicles, including a fuel tanker, resulting in the instantaneous death of a man in his 70s. Security and medical personnel rushed to the scene and quickly dealt with the aftermath of the tragic accident that happened in a matter of moments. A security source disclosed that the Operations Unit at the Ministry of Interior received information about the accident, prompting the immediate dispatch of security, fire and emergency medical teams to the location. He said the scene was dire -- damaged vehicles, shattered glass, and the sound of rescue sirens filling the air.
The source added that firefighters extracted the man, who was trapped inside his wrecked vehicle, but he died before reaching the hospital, indicating the body was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department and a case was registered. Security forces removed the damaged vehicles and restored the fl ow of traffic, which was disrupted for several hours. Investigations are underway to determine the causes and circumstances leading to the accident.
