KUWAIT CITY, May 19: Kuwait Municipality has stepped up nationwide inspection campaigns to enforce public cleanliness and road occupancy regulations across all governorates, with field cleaning teams intensifying monitoring efforts to identify and remove violations.

The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality said the ongoing campaigns aim to strengthen regulatory oversight and ensure strict implementation of municipal laws related to cleanliness and illegal street occupation.

In the Capital Governorate, Faisal Al-Otaibi, Director of the Public Cleanliness and Road Occupancy Department, said inspection teams are conducting continuous field tours to track violators and take legal action against them. He noted that recent campaigns resulted in the removal of 99 abandoned and scrap vehicles and the issuance of 87 violations related to cleanliness, road occupancy, and illegal street vending. In addition, authorities issued 1,419 warnings, stickers, and written pledges during the inspections.

Al-Otaibi stressed that inspection teams will continue their field operations without leniency, warning that firm legal measures will be taken against anyone violating public cleanliness and road occupancy rules. He added that the intensified drives will continue across all areas to maintain public order and urban cleanliness.
