9 Nepali and a Sri Lankan liquor peddlers caught

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 27: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested a 10-man gang – 9 Nepalese, three of them women, and a Sri Lankan (boss), for trafficking in locally-manufactured and imported booze, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily quoting security sources said, police acting on a tip-off raided the apartment of the bootleggers in Mangaf and seized the suspects and a large quantity of local and imported booze. The contraband and the suspects have been referred to the Criminal Investigations Department. According to security sources some of them were wanted by law in connection with crimes and others were reported absconding by their sponsors
