86 Kuwaiti passports lost

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: The General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents at the Ministry of Interior said 86 Kuwaitis of both sexes have filed claims with the department of losing their original citizenship certificates, as well as their Kuwaiti passports and have applied for new documents, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily said, the statistics prepared by the administration indicated that 39 citizens claimed to have lost their original citizenship documents, while 47 citizens claim they lost their original passports. The administration said if anyone has found these documents to hand them over to the administration within two weeks from the date of publishing the announcement in the official newspaper, “Kuwait Al-Youm,” dated Feb 19, 2022. In case if these documents are not found, these people will be granted Kuwaiti passports and citizenship certificates according to the applicable procedures.
