WASHINGTON, Aug 29: US Central Command (CENTCOM) said its forces had rerouted 82 commercial vessels as of August 28 while enforcing a US maritime blockade of Iran.
CENTCOM said US forces had also disabled three vessels and boarded two others as part of the operation.
The command released an image showing a US sailor aboard the destroyer USS John Paul Jones, saying the warship was operating in regional waters in support of the blockade.
