800 Male, female teachers needed; Palestinian and Jordanian teachers to be recruited

KUWAIT CITY, July 14: Two delegations from the Ministry of Education are preparing to leave after Eid holidays to Palestine and Jordan to recruit male and female teachers in some disciplines required to fill the shortage in educational manpower for the next academic year, reports Al-Anba daily. According to informed educational sources, the ministry, through its website, had received nearly 1,500 applications from male and female teachers in Palestine. The delegations will leave the country after the Eid holidays following the completion of travel procedures to meet the applicants and select the most qualified among them.

The number of male and female teachers required from Palestine and Jordan is approximately 800. The sources indicated that the ministry hopes to complete the interview procedures within the next month, provided that the teachers, who will be recruited, begin their work at the beginning of the new school year. They revealed that the disciplines for which male teachers are required are English, French, science, physics, geology, biology, chemistry and mathematics, provided that the requirement of experience is met. As for female teachers, the specializations for which they are required are limited to physics and mathematics only, with the condition of experience
