KUWAIT CITY, July 19: The General Directorate for Narcotics Control in Kuwait has arrested 8 people of different nationalities for drug trafficking. The suspects were found in possession of about 4.5 kilograms of narcotic substances, 3110 pills of psychotropic substances, and sums of money from the sale proceeds.
The suspects were confronted with the seized items, and they admitted that they belonged to them for the purpose of trafficking and abuse. They have been referred to the competent authority, who will take all necessary legal measures against them.
The arrest of these 8 suspects is a major blow to the drug trafficking trade in Kuwait. It is a clear message that the authorities are committed to cracking down on drug trafficking and bringing those responsible to justice.
