KUWAIT CITY, Feb 18: Intelligence officers from the General Traffic Department organized a traffic campaign in Jaber Al-Ali and arrested eight reckless motorists, impounded their vehicles and towed them to the police garage, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the campaign was organized after the the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report about continuous disregard for traffic laws in the Jaber Al-Ali area following which a number of detectives were deployed to the area erected a security cordon and after documenting the recklessness with a video clip (sound and picture) arrested the suspects. On the other hand, a number of passers-by intervened to rescue road users on a road in Jahra when an elderly person was seen driving in the opposite direction on a highway
