75 people wanted in debt cases released

KUWAIT CITY, March 18: Civil Execution Judges on Tuesday decided to release about 75 people remanded in relation to pending financial cases. The culprits were being held at the Civil Execution Administration in Sulaibiyah area, says Al-Seyassah .

The daily quoting sources said the judges, in a bid to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, moved to the Civil Execution Administration to look into the files of people arrested by the police during the holiday period in connection with civil and financial offenses, adding “the judges gave the debtors grace period to pay their debts”, stressing the decision only covered those will small debts.”

Sources explained that some of those released had paid what they owed. They explained that measures were taken to release them in light of the exceptional circumstances the country is currently going through. They revealed that police officers had been ordered not to arrest any person who faces civil financial lawsuit in the coming period.
