731 kg of rotten truffles seized

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 18: Inspectors at the Department of Imported Foodstuffs in Kuwait Municipality foiled an attempt to smuggle two tons and 731kg of truffles from an unnamed Arab country via Kuwait airport. Sources from the Municipality said inspectors from the department of imported foodstuffs destroyed the truffles. They noted the truffles had already started to change color, as they were rotten and smelly.

Meanwhile, Department of Public Cleanliness and Road Works in the Municipality branch of Ahmadi Governorate managed to lift 10 neglected vehicles in Fahaheel industrial area, as part of the field campaign conducted by the department.
