KUWAIT CITY, April 24: The Ministry of Interior teams seized 724 home delivery workers within two days, for violating labor requirements after the Owners of Consumer Order Delivery Companies Committee called for cleaning the market of workers who violate residence and labor laws, by activating the third item of the requirements was enforced at the beginning of this year, to ensure the driver holds a valid residence permit of the company he works for in line with the Article 18 rule, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The Ministry of Interior teams set up traffic and rescue patrols near the main roads and places of violations repeatedly committed by delivery drivers, especially motorcycles, who used pedestrian bridges as a short cut to their destinations.

The seized motorcycles were transferred to the reservation garages, as Delivery of Orders committee pointed out the importance of the Interior Ministry’s cooperation with the tripartite committee and the Public Authority for Manpower, to arrest violators of the labor and residence laws not only violators of order delivery requirements. The committee told Al-Qabas that the campaign aimed at controlling the sector is making every effort, and its recent rounds resulted in the seizure of more than 700 motorcycles that did not comply with the instructions in less than 48 hours.
