A Municipality inspector seals a restaurant built on state property
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: Public Relations Department at Kuwait Municipality announced that the Department for Removing Violations in the Capital issued 7216 violations and warnings, seized and destroyed 51.445 tons of spoilt foodstuffs, and sealed up to 70 shops during inspection campaigns conducted in 2017.Head of the department Engineer Abdullah Jaber stated inspection teams issued 900 food-related citations and 198 warnings against violating structures, and violators were made to sign 782 undertakings. He added 2771 citations and 255 warnings were issued against unlicensed advertisements after removing 231 unlicensed advertisements. He noted orders were issued for 50 shops to be opened permanently, while 70 shops were closed down. He explained that inspectors removed 51 encroachments on State property and collected total revenues of KD 57,985 and referred 3045 violations to Legal Affairs Department
