About 70 persons evacuated after ‘blaze’ in Salmiya hotel

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27, (KUNA): Fire broke out in a hotel in Salmiya area. No casualties were reported. According to the Director of Public Relations and Media at Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) Colonel Khaleel Al-Ameer, when the Control Room of KFSD received information about a room on fire inside a hotel in Salmiya area, firefighters rushed to the location and evacuated about 70 individuals from the hotel before extinguished the fire.

Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the fire. Colonel Al-Ameer appreciated the efforts exerted by firefighters in protecting the lives and properties of the people in Kuwait. Meanwhile, fire broke out in a house in Taima area. No injuries were reported but material losses were incurred. Jahra firefighters rushed to the location after receiving information about the house on fire. They extinguished it before it spread to the nearby houses. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
