7 kilos drugs with Egyptian duo

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: Personnel from the General Department for Drugs Control (GDDC) have seized two Egyptians for attempting to smuggle seven kilos of narcotic substance into the country, reports Al- Anba daily.

The daily added, the arrest came after the GDDC received a tip-off from unidentified sources that the men would be attempting to smuggle drugs hidden inside parcels following which the GDDC coordinated efforts with the General Administration of Customs to allow the exit of the parcels and track and arrest the recipients of the shipment. During interrogation, the suspects admitted the parcels belonged to them. They have been referred to the Drug Prosecution Office along with the contraband
