7 Ballistic Missiles Intercepted Over Kuwait's Residential Areas; Debris Falls, No Casualties

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 6: The official spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, announced that the armed forces detected and responded at dawn today to seven hostile ballistic missiles that entered Kuwaiti airspace.

According to the statement, the missiles were successfully intercepted over several residential areas, leading to the fall of debris in multiple locations. Authorities confirmed that while the incident caused material damage, no human casualties were reported.

The Ministry described the incident as a “criminal aggression,” attributing responsibility to Iranian sources, and noted that emergency and defense protocols were activated immediately to contain the situation and protect civilians.

Reaffirming national security readiness, the armed forces stated that they continue to carry out their duties with efficiency and high preparedness, emphasizing their commitment to safeguarding the safety of citizens and residents and maintaining stability across Kuwait.

The Ministry of Defense further stressed that Kuwait’s military remains on constant alert to respond to any threats against national sovereignty and public safety.
