7 Arrested in Major Theft Case Involving BD 800,000 Worth of Jewelry

MANAMA, Apr 5: The Ministry of Interior announced that the Capital Governorate Police Directorate has arrested seven individuals aged between 18 and 23 in connection with the theft of gold jewelry, watches, and other valuables worth more than 800,000 Bahraini dinars.

According to the authorities, the suspects allegedly exploited the absence of homeowners to carry out the burglary. The case was reported by the victim, prompting immediate investigation and intensive search operations by the Capital Governorate Police Directorate.

Investigators were able to collect evidence and trace the suspects, leading to their identification and arrest. Police confirmed that the stolen items were recovered in the possession of the accused, some of which had been hidden in different locations to avoid detection. Authorities also noted that one of the suspects was already detained in connection with another security-related case.

The Ministry stated that all necessary legal procedures have been completed, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further action.
