KUWAIT CITY, May 6: On the second day as per evacuation plan of Egyptian residence violators 680 Egyptians were deported back to their homeland by 3 flights. 280 and 290 passengers was carried by Kuwait Airways, where as Jazeera airways carried 110 passengers in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, the Egyptian embassy, ​​the General Administration of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Health and the General Administration of Customs

They are part of the 5,600 residence law violators, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The spokesperson for the Directorate- General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Eng. Saad Al- Otaibi, said the DGCA received requests to operate two daily flights a day to Egypt until all Egyptian residence law violators are evacuated.

Speaking of the cost of deportation, informed sources told the daily the price of a single ticket is 110 dinars that Kuwait will pay the money to Egypt Air, which will be tasked with the evacuation of the violators. The total amount of ‘repatriating’ the violators is expected to be KD 715,000, in addition to the value of fines that have been dropped and the costs of lodging, boarding and transportation.

The Egyptian embassy in Kuwait put the number of flights at 32. The regional director of ‘Egypt Air’ in Kuwait, Ehab Jouda said the company organized two trips to Cairo and works in coordination with all concerned authorities in the two countries to address the situation of the violators and put at rest the issue as quickly as possible.

The Ministry of Interior has transported the violators from shelters in air-conditioned buses to the Kuwait International Airport amid security regulation and health preventive measures without any significant problems.

Informed sources confirmed the deportees were subjected to medical examination to ensure that they are free of the virus, in addition to taking all preventive measures, as it is not allowed to allow departure of a single person with anyone who is infected with the virus.

The Egyptian violators have expressed their gratitude and thanked the government of Kuwait for providing and meeting all their needs starting from handing themselves over to the reception centers transporting them to the airport.

In a related development, Egyptian Cabinet Spokesman, Counselor Nader Saad announced in a televised interview that the Egyptian government will bear the expenses of evacuation trips for Egyptians from their shelters, indicating there is a plan developed by the Egyptian government to place the arrivals in mandatory quarantine. He pointed 7 university hostels have been prepared to accommodate the returnees from Kuwait for 14 days, and the preparation of medical teams to accompany them during the mandatory period.
