65 Arrested in Farwaniya Security Campaign; 33 Abandoned Vehicles Impounded

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: Security authorities arrested 65 people during a large-scale security campaign in the Khaitan area of Farwaniya Governorate on Thursday, October 8, targeting wanted individuals and residency violators.

The campaign was conducted by the Farwaniya Governorate Security Directorate in coordination with several government agencies, in the presence of its Director General, Brigadier General Faisal Al-Riyah, and Assistant Director General Brigadier General Yousef Al-Sawla.

The campaign resulted in the following:

  • 65 people arrested, including:
    • Individuals wanted in absconding and expired residency cases
    • 7 visa violators
    • 1 individual banned from entering Kuwait
    • 3 individuals wanted on debt-related arrest warrants
    • 1 individual wanted in a drug case
    • 1 individual wanted for theft
    • 1 individual involved in a drug case
  • 1 intoxicated individual released
  • 44 traffic violations recorded
  • 33 abandoned vehicles impounded
  • 2 vehicles wanted in separate breach-of-trust cases seized
  • 1 vehicle wanted in a theft case seized

The campaign forms part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to strengthen security, apprehend wanted individuals and take action against violators.
