KUWAIT CITY, June 13: The Criminal Security Sector of the General Department for Drugs Control (GDDC) upon direct instructions from the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Criminal Security Affairs, Major-General Muhammad Al-Sharhan said the 635 expatriates who were caught either for possessing or consuming drugs have been deported, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting reliable security sources. The sources told the daily, since the past two years the GDDC has followed the policy of immediate deportation of every foreigner arrested on charges of using or possessing drugs. Expatriates who are caught trafficking or attempting to smuggle narcotic substances into the country are referred to court and based on the verdict are sent to prison before being deported.
