KUWAIT CITY, March 4: Police have arrested 6 women, Syrians and Jordanians with their 3 children for begging for alms, reports Al-Rai daily. They were caught in front of mosques and banks in Jahra. They have been handed over to the concerned authorities to prepare their deportation from the country. The daily added, all of them were visitors to the country. Their sponsors have been summoned for interrogation. Meanwhile, the Al-Anba daily said police also arrested a Yemeni in Rawdah for begging for alms and referred to the authorities for necessary action.
