KUWAIT CITY, Nov 5: The head of the National Hospitals Union, Dr. Ayman Al-Mutawa, announced the readiness of 6 private hospitals to receive and treat injured people from the Gaza Strip free of charge in Kuwait.

Al-Mutawa said, in a letter addressed to the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, that this initiative comes “in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions that our brothers in the Gaza Strip are going through, and based on the pioneering humanitarian role that the State of Kuwait is playing regionally and internationally in its various governmental and private sectors, in implementation of the directives of the High Commission for Aid and Relief for the Affected Palestinian People in the Gaza Strip, reports Al-Rai daily.

He stressed, “The readiness of Al-Salam, Alia, Dar Al-Shifa, Wara, Al-Mouwasat, and Taiba hospitals to receive the injured people from the Gaza Strip to treat them free of charge, in the event that the Ministry of Health decides to receive cases for treatment in the State of Kuwait,” noting that “this is considered the least duty we can provide to our brothers.”

In a related context, the Kuwaiti relief air bridge continued, as the 13th plane took off on Sunday from the bridge to relieve the brothers in the Gaza Strip, heading to the Egyptian city of Al-Arish, carrying 40 tons of food and medical supplies.

The head of the Palestinian volunteer teams in Gaza affiliated with the Kuwaiti Red Crescent, Ahmed Abu Dayyeh, also announced the arrival of the third and fourth batches of the air bridge of aid provided by the Red Crescent Society to the stores and warehouses of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
