KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Al-Subaih said 57,000 files of people who claim disability benefits from the State have been referred to the Public Prosecution, reports Al-Shahed daily.Al-Subaih pointed out there are many cases which show a change in the degree of physical disability of a person and they were qualified for benefit from the State without their files being referred to the concerned technical authority. She added there are others who do not deserve benefits -- money in cash or support in-kind and that they have been cheating the StateWanted man held: A wanted Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in Salmiya area following a foot chase, says Al-Seyassah. According to security sources, when officers from General Department of Criminal Evidence received information on the whereabouts of a Kuwaiti citizen who is wanted by law for five criminal cases, they kept a tab on him. When they managed to corner him in Salmiya area, he started running but securitymen chased him and eventually arrested him. He was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Meanwhile, a GCC national who is wanted by law for his involvement in a case of fraud of KD 9,000 was arrested. In addition, a Kuwaiti woman who took a vehicle on rent from a car rental office and did not return it or pay rent worth KD 2,500 was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities
