KUWAIT CITY, Aug 5: Kuwait's Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigation's Juvenile Protection Department, carried out a wide-ranging security campaign in cooperation with the Public Authority for Manpower, resulting in the arrest of 56 labor and residency law violators.
The campaign targeted commercial establishments in the Jahra Industrial Area, Shuwaikh Industrial Area, Fahaheel Industrial Area, and Farwaniya, where inspection teams conducted audits to ensure compliance with labor market regulations and residency laws.
According to the Ministry of Interior, all individuals found in violation have been referred for the necessary legal and administrative procedures in accordance with applicable laws.
Violations recorded during the campaign:
- 10 juveniles apprehended.
- 3 violators of Article 22 (family/dependent residency).
- 17 violators of Article 18 (private sector residency).
- 24 violators of Article 20 (domestic worker residency).
- 1 absconding case involving an Article 20 residency holder.
- 1 entry visa violation.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that such joint inspection campaigns will continue in coordination with the Public Authority for Manpower and other relevant agencies to detect violations, strengthen security and public order, and ensure the law is applied equally to all.
