KUWAIT CITY, Nov 22: The General Traffic Department (GTD) continues to organize campaigns in different parts of the country to discipline erring motorists and to ensure they abide by the traffic rules and laws, reports Al-Anba daily.

During one such campaign which was organized under the supervision of the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Traffic and Operations, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, resulted in the issuance of more than 28,000 citations, imprisonment of 11 motorists for committing serious violations, arrest of 54 teenagers and 7 expatriates for driving without licenses. The 54 teenagers have been referred to the Juvenile Prosecution Office and the expatriates have been referred to Administrative Deportation Department.
