KUWAIT CITY, Nov 5: Ministry of Foreign Affairs received 52 complaints so far from various embassies in Kuwait – 43 against bloggers and social media users and the rest against local newspapers and TV channels, reports Aljarida daily.
According to informed sources, the complaints have been referred to the concerned authorities for investigations.
Meanwhile, Kuwaiti embassies in some countries filed 25 cases against bloggers and TV channels, accusing them of offending Kuwait.
The aforementioned numbers were included in the response of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid to a parliamentary question submitted by MP Omar Al-Tabtabaei.
As per the response, the number of citizens charged with offending Kuwait is half of the number of bloggers charged with offending Kuwait from outside.
