50 Violators arrested at 12 sites working under sun

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 7: The Public Authority of Manpower inspected 12 construction sites in Al Masayeel area in Mubarak Al Kabeer Governorate resulting in issuing violations and arresting more than 50 workers for working during banned hours from 11 am to 4 pm directly under the sun.

PAM is keen on safeguarding workers’ interest by protecting employers who take advantage. Article No. 535/2015 prohibits working under direct sunlight. The Public Authority will follow legal procedures against violators by issuing warning, violations and closing of company files with fines ranging KD 100 per worker and for repeated violation double the fine.
