KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: As part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to combat the scourge of drugs and protect society from its dangers, the General Department for the Execution of Judgments—represented by the Criminal Execution Department—in cooperation with the General Department for Drug Control, successfully seized a large quantity of hashish estimated at approximately 50 kilograms in the Fahaheel area.
The operation began after the Criminal Execution Department received precise confidential information indicating that an individual was engaged in drug trafficking and in possession of a significant quantity of narcotics intended for distribution within Kuwait. Acting swiftly, the department coordinated with the General Department for Drug Control to form a joint security team tasked with surveillance, investigation, and arrest.
The coordinated efforts led to the arrest of the suspect in the Fahaheel area. The individual, identified as a stateless (Bedoun), was found carrying two bags which, upon inspection, contained roughly 50 kilograms of hashish ready for distribution. During questioning, the suspect admitted to receiving the drugs for 3,000 Kuwaiti dinars on behalf of a known repeat offender currently abroad, who is wanted in multiple cases related to the import and distribution of narcotics.
The suspect and the seized drugs were referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its determination to continue combating the drug trade in all its forms, warning that it will show zero tolerance toward anyone attempting to endanger the security of the nation or the safety of its people.
