5 yr old Syrian girl abandoned – Father deported, Mother violator of the residence law

KUWAIT CITY, June 26: An unidentified 5-year-old Syrian girl who was found alone crying bitterly on a beach off the Blajat Street has been handed over to the Salmiya Police Station, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the girl was found by a Kuwaiti woman and when she went to console her, she discovered she was alone. She had apparently spent several hours alone on the beach. Police investigation revealed the father of the child has been deported from the country after he fell foul with the law. The mother is believed to be holed somewhere in the country and is a violator of the residence law.

Police are trying to find out if she deliberately abandoned the girl on the beach in the hope of finding some help for her. It has also been reported, the girl has been handed over to the maternal grandfather who lives in the country and is believed to be in his 60s.
