KUWAIT CITY, March 23: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has administratively shut down five shops in Salmiya for selling counterfeit goods, reports Al-Jarida daily. The ministry revealed that a substantial quantity of goods bearing counterfeit trademarks of renowned international firms was confiscated during the operation.

An emergency team promptly conducted a thorough inspection, verified the counterfeit items, and proceeded with immediate closure of the shops. Legal procedures have been initiated against the violators as part of the ministry’s commitment to combating intellectual property infringement.
