5 shops closed for violating precautionary measures

KUWAIT, April 13: The Kuwait Ministry of Commerce and Industry stated today, Monday, that five commercial stores that did not adhere to precautionary measures to stop spread of corona virus (Covid 19) were closed.

The Ministry said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that inspection teams monitored 289 cooperative societies, super markets, commercial stores and vegetable stands to determine the extent of their commitment and maintain the stability of product prices, as well as reopening two shops.

MOCI further stated that the inspection teams monitored 80 catering branches to ensure the flow of sales and delivery of foodstuffs to their beneficiaries, as well as editing 10 records of violating commercial stores.
The emergency center had received 257 complaints via the hotline (135) and 27 complaints through the control centers, while the ration cards were issued and issued to 262 transactions.

The Ministry of commerce and Industry stressed the need to abide by the laws because of the exceptional circumstance that the country is going through, stressing that its concerned teams are continuing their inspection tours in order to ensure the safety of prices and services provided to consumers.
