KUWAIT CITY, March 6: Five workers sustained various degrees of injuries in a car crash along Wafra Farm area. They were airlifted by paramedics via helicopter to Adan Hospital for medical attention. Meanwhile, five youths miraculously escaped snake attack at a camp in Sulaibiya area.

The youths managed to kill the highly poisonous snake, which was 1.5 meters long, before it could bite any of them. In another development, a bus belonging to a commercial transport company went up in flames on the Fourth Ring Road due to a short circuit. No casualty was recorded, although material losses were heavy.

A security source said the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received information about a fire in a bus transporting passengers along the Fourth Ring Road.

Security operatives and paramedics accompanied firemen to the scene and managed to extinguish the flames. Initial investigation revealed that the fire was caused by short circuit. The debris was towed from the road. In a similar incident, fire broke out in a motorbike parked in an open area in Salmiya.

The cause of fire wasn’t immediately known. A case was registered. And, police are looking for unidentified burglars for breaking into a company store in Salhiya and emptying it of its contents, reports Al-Rai daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
