45,103 Divorced Kuwaitis Recorded, Women Make Up the Majority

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: Official data from Kuwait’s Central Statistical Administration showed that the number of divorced Kuwaiti citizens reached nearly 45,103 as of the end of June 2026.

According to the figures, divorced women accounted for the larger share, with 27,698 female citizens, compared with 17,405 male citizens.

The data also showed that citizens aged between 35 and 49 represented the largest group among divorced Kuwaitis.

Meanwhile, the statistics recorded nearly 46 divorced citizens under the age of 20, highlighting that divorce was also recorded among younger age groups.

The figures provide an overview of the marital status of Kuwaiti citizens and form part of the official demographic data published by the Central Statistical Administration.
