KUWAIT CITY, Aug 13: Director of the Technical Inspection Department of the Traffic Sector in the Ministry of Interior Brigadier Mishaal Al-Suwaiji revealed that nine vehicles with GCC number plates that had committed traffic violations in Kuwait were sent back last week via the Nuwaiseeb port, reports Al-Rai daily. In a press statement, Al-Suwaiji explained that 45 violating Gulf vehicles were sent back since the beginning of this year.

There are 73 other sports cars on which a block has been placed due to serious violations. Preparations are being made to prepare for their ouster from the country in the coming days. These procedures are based on instructions from the Undersecretary of the Traffic and Operations Sector Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh to arrest violators and reckless people for violating the regulations and laws of the General Traffic Department, and to work on removing any Gulf vehicle from the country when its driver carries out an act of recklessness or participates in races on the public roads exposing his life and the lives of others at risk.

All the vehicles of the type (Z) and (GT) that were evicted had participated in drifting, and stunts and recklessness on the streets and highways in violation of the country’s traffic laws. Al-Suwaiji called on all motorists of sports cars to respect the traffic rules and regulations, adding that a block is placed on any vehicle that violates the law, and it will be impounded for a period of two months.
