430 employees of 30 fictitious companies under police probe

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: Personnel from the Residence Affairs Investigation Department have identified 30 fictitious companies, 18 of them which do not even have an office but exist just on paper, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, this happened during a raid organized by the department in cooperation with the Public Authority for Manpower under the supervision of the Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalization and Residence Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah. The daily added, a total of 430 employees registered under these fictitious companies are jobless and are considered a security threat to the country. The sources pointed out, investigation is under way with the employees who have been arrested. In the meantime, the authorities are looking for the others.

Preacher arrested: The Riqqa police have arrested an unidentified preacher from a mosque in Ogaila for violating Friday sermon laws, reports Al-Shahed daily. The arrest came after someone complained to the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior. However, when the police patrol dispatched to the mosque did not find him there the Public Prosecution summoned the Kuwaiti preacher for interrogation. Although he denied the accusations, he has been handed over to the State Security police.
